Raid Team "Thursday" - Status Report
Posted: July 27th, 2007, 9:27 pm
Hi Folks,*** Please read this whole post as there are important points throughout*** So here is the roster of those who participated Thursday 7/26: Mahnalor Warrior Lyghtning Warrior Fionaa Priest Mender Priest Nakeyta Shaman Blave Druid Another Mage Kurumi Mage Phrikk Mage Delv Rogue The outcome.... not too bad for our first try. We were able to get in a few attemtps at Midnight and Attumen however each attempt required a clearing of sorts. We didnt seem to have the DPS necessary to clear out the trash fast enough for multiple attempts without respawns. Though we really shouldnt need more than one attempt against him, we were still able to clear up to the boss in under the 25 minute time limit for respawns for our first attempt each time. Without getting into specifics, there are several suggestions I would like to make to the raid group as a whole:1) We would like to proceed with the first pull as close to 8:00pm as possible. If timing is an issue, please use the forums to communicate your plans for the evening if youre not going to make it or are going to be late. 2) Please, please, please come prepared. Karahzan is not a casual instance that a group can be expected to do well without being prepared. This includes being fully repaired and stocked with potions specific for your class.3) Research your class to make it the best you can. There are plenty of resources out there that can help out with this. The better you can do with your class, the better the raid group will be overall. Please also research the raid instance so you at least have an idea what to expect. 4) Gear. Karahzan will test each and every one of us. We must make sure that we have the best gear we can quest for and/or afford to purchase. Please spend some gold in socketing quality gems. Trust me... every little bit counts. Feel free to search the wow forums and or our very own forums for specific class suggestions. Ask some of the veterans how you can better contribute to the raid. Chat with them about strategy, gear, enything...Like I said above, Kahrazan is not a casual instance to be taken as lightly as the 5-mans. Think of it as more of a 10-man heroic. Blizzard has purposely changed the group mechanics in The Burning Crusade to present more of a challenge to those players looking for more than just 5-man content. Those who are not prepared will not fare well.*** Sunday we will make anothe shot or two at Attumen and Midnight. Wether or not we defeat him, we will head towards Moroes as the group mechanics are completely different and I am sure some folks would like to at least see the next boss fight
***Please feel free to comment and reply to this thread with any suggestions.-Mahnalor
