We're missing Bravsirrobin for a month *cry* -- so unless anyone has geared resistance off-tanks, Hydross if off the schedule for a little. Additionally this week we have a punch in the gut because Thursday is Valentine's Day -- no guarantees on who is going to be around depending on how sweet your sweetie's going to be.

We'll start with Lurker Below -- then try our first foray into TK. If you haven't read strategies for the trash/Void Reaver yet -- DO IT. Getting hit by the orb in this fight is an idiot check, the way that getting hit by a spout and moving during a flame wreath is an idiot check. Don't be that guy! If there is time we'll do Gruul on Tuesday after VR (not likely) -- if not we'll stitch together whoever we have on Thursday to bash our loot pinata open.

Tuesday is actually 2/12, but who's keeping track anyway?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=rx7iR6gGklw (zomg, loot reaver 3-D explanation!!!!) not even joking watch this and we win.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Eye_(Tempest_Keep) (couldn't find a decent TK trash video...) the trash to VR is kind of a bitch, from the first part all i remember is a lot of sheeping and flying all over the place thanks to those birds. For the phenoix things in Al'ars room you have everyone group up and have a hunter MD pull to the MT, then have an OT behind the group to eat the charges. These things mana burn so dps lad mad. There's some trash later on w/ those curator looking guys and other things that throw buzz saws. I mostly remember eating buzz saws and dying. I think you have to be SUPER quick w/ the banish and the sheeps or it's just wipefest '08. Loot reaver is a joke if you have good dps, PLENTY OF MANA POTS, and people who can move when the big flashing mod tells them to move.

I love that video! Sometimes it's a bit chaotic to see boss abilities in sample videos -- I really like this "warchest" style...

I'm working tomorrow night and Valentine's on Thursday, so it looks like Hardwigg can't make the 25-mans this week.

I have off work tomorrow (Tuesday), however I have RL stuff which may prevent me from showing up in time. Probably not, but there's a chance.

Phrikk and Jazz will be cutting it close due to school stuff. I already let Dude know so that he can do invites and such. We will be parked and ready in CFR. And, most importantly, I like cookies. That is all.

I am going to park Miramel by the summoning stone in Netherstorm for Tempest Keep. Maybe one other person could park an alt there for summons so it doesn't take so long to switch gears?

Drumble is bound in Netherstorm with an epic mount -- he can be there in moments. (stopping of course to pluck Netherbloom / mine Rich Thorium on the way ... impulse gathering!)

I get off work at 9pm tonight, so if you guys are still running and are short a healer, I'll be on as backup! And Mason, if you want some Major Mageblood elixirs, send some netherbloom my way

So I wasn't supposed to be at work tonight, but I work with a bunch of morons, so one of them didn't show up, so I am stuck here. I will do my best to get on for the raid. My internet should be working too... so hopefully the planets will line up, and all these people that are still parked here will leave. Andy

Anyone capture WWS for this? I've been sorely neglectful in my combat logging lately ... I was just wondering if I fixed my little "moving while blocking after a whirl" problem. I dont think I got crushed (too terribly if so) -- aside from the start of the attempt where I died. For the record - on boss fights I typically start out with a "Greater Ward of Shielding" to help buffer that initial pummelling (absorbs 4000 damage) -- but that was getting eaten up by the scalding water(!!!). I've also been Shield Slamming to get a big boost of initial threat before doing my shield block -- but it opens up a window of opportunity to crush me on the initial attack. That's what happened in the beginning of our second attempt .. *really* you should start with your shield block up, then slam -- but I dont want him to turn on anyone who accidently autoattacked or whatnot. I should go back to doing this on all boss fights (except for Gruul perhaps, since I'm competing with other tanks for threat) ... or at least on any fight I'm unable to have my Ward up ..

Did we have similar issues in the previous lurker raids that we've had? It seemed like we were able to heal you through those issues if they were there before, I wasn't there last night though so I'm not entirely sure how that goes.

Oh it's just me trying to be hypercritical of myself and do better ... in a "perfect world scenario" a tank should be able to push all the crushing blows off the hit table. The situation sometimes dictates otherwise. To be "truly uncrushable" I would need to re-gear with either more weapon expertise (so it parries less) or completely regear avoidance so crushes ... to regear more avoidance would sacrifice too much threat/health. Weapon expertise is probably the real the way to go as long as it doesn't comprimise max. health / threat. Just looking at the last attempt -- I was crushed 3x. The first two were parry gibs -- the last one I can't really tell since I was refreshing shield blocks (since they hadn't been used) and that doesn't appear in the log. (editted out lots of stuff for sanity sake) Parry Gib

Parry Gib?

... if you dont see another shield block, it means it wasn't used up before I reapplied -- but you can tell the next few were blocked, and based on the cooldown being 5 seconds and the effect lasting 6
