Did anyone grab a screenshot? I was dead tired and spaced it out ... Also, jonesing for some WWS --- hopefully someone was more on the ball than I was. I want to do a little post-mortem, we learned a lot last night -- from how to organize the trash pulls to how to kill your inner-demon to how to maintain control during the last 15%. I'm at our "kitchen computer" so I'll wait until after I drop the kids at school to really go into it --- but GREAT JOB to all of our smart DPSers!!

Mason, great pep talk on staying focused through the last 15%. Fargol died, but I think thats ok, even expected in the last 5%. Inner Demon - I would like to hear other peoples experiences with this, mine was super easy, I just nuked him with nature spells until he was dead, melee seemed horribly ineffective against him (and by melee I mean melee with a healing mace). Many guides suggested that prot warriors get put with a shaman in their group for windfury, and healers swap in on-use trinkets prior to the fight so they can up their spell damage on demand.

For Prot Warrior inner demon -- I almost screwed it up bad, IMHO. When he's in his demon form, I need to switch to berserker stance and rage up, switching back defensive if I dont get the inner demon -- as it were, I was in defensive fighting mine for half of it before realizing -- then stance changed to a huge loss of rage. Scary! I think I had about 1 second left on the clock with that execute ...

The first couple times I had inner demon I had no problem with him... The last time for some reason I almost didn't make it. No idea why, but it just seemed to me that I was cutting it really close. I even used all my instant cast spells.

Alls I gots to say is, when your inner demon hits, the pressure is on. I started mashing buttons...the first time I couldn't find my Avenging Wrath button

. I think its definitely doable by every class, even arguably the most neutured classes during the inner demon fights (holy pally, holy priest), we were able to take them down. I managed to take my inner demon down for a second time even with Avenging Wrath on cooldown. Haha...I guess Prot Warrior it might be even harder than a healing class since you don't have that much burst damage

. I was plugging away with my healer mace, even forgot to use exorcism a few times, but it was definitely still doable. Good fight all, we learned a lot, and we had our "smart DPS" show up last night (I think!). I was yelling for a screenshot, but I don't know if anyone managed to get one, also I hope along with Mason that someone got a WWS (Heres looking at you Nick, Dustin!). I'm going to try my damndest to get out of work early Thursday to show up for TK and Void Reaver, it should be fun!

There were still a couple people *cough andrew* that were getting hit by whirlwind nearly every time. If you find yourself getting hit with it, make sure you are watching your Dealdy Boss Mods timer, and running out a little earlier. We went right up the enrage timer so we can't afford to lose people. Mahatma got hit with it a few times too - I think you need to drop the searing totem earlier on, since it last 45 seconds, and the whirlwind last like 15 seconds, you can theoretically drop it 20-25 seconds before the whirl, which is basically right after the previous one ends. I dropped mine about 70% of the whirls and never got hit with one due to that. Oh, and sorry for wiping us on the pat face pull.

The first time I dispatched my demon with a few seconds to spare. And I was still using sword + board. The second time I'd switched over to 2 one-handers and thought I had it but the timers must've been off so I was off on my last execute. If I'd found my target a bit faster than I did, I probably could've made it.
I did have a Combat log running but when I got D/C'd on our successful attempt it got messed up so I just deleted it. Figured someone else would be running one too.

I got the bracers off Lurker. Something weird was going on in the successful leo attempt. In the beginning of the fight I was getting 5fps, but as soon as Dustin D/C'd I jumped back over 30fps. I was starting to get worried I was gonna get hit with the ww when I was at 5fps, so I would move out a second earlier.

yeah the first 2 attempts i got owned trying ot set up that totem after the WW started after that i was dropping it around 5-10 seconds before and didnt seem to have any problems at all. took a few more hits from the WW when i was trying to stay in range to keep up the dps though

Well I really messed up on my inner demon twice. Fearing it did not work. I either got unlucky or it's just a bad strat. It feared out of range and I was chasing for 1/2 the time. I DL'd bigwigs bossmod before the raid and it worked perfectly. I knew exactly when I was the target of inner demon and started off with SW:P and PW:Shield. I just couldn't do enough damage to kill it. It seemed to eat throught my sheild very quickly and then I was on knockback the whole time. I just got done scrouging up gold for my epic mount fund. During which I sharded all my +spell dmg gear and trinkets. I think that not having trinkets to pop is ultimatly what cost me. As far as the rest of the raid went for me. I have to totally change my healing style. Today while at work I've been checking out the mods that Dudepal posted in the Priest section. Hopefully those will help. I'm also curious as to the healing stats. Does anyone that had a healing meter remember how I did? I know my gear is adequate. My pve gear consists of the Primal mooncloth set, the Whitemend Set, Boots of the Long Road, 3 Kara pieces, and are fully enchanted and gem'd. 8k life, 11k mana, 1800+ healing. I did not have time to change my spec from my Disc/Holy Arena Spec. I've healed every heroic (Arc, Shatt Halls, BM, Durn) in my PvP gear with my PvP spec. The problem for me lies in being able to handle the chaos and confusion that is 25 people running every which way from a WW.

From my experience with 25man content, gear is helpful for healers (bigger heals, more mana, mp5, etc etc) but its not absolutely necessary. I don't think we were hurting for mana for this fight as long as the DPS'ers stayed out of the WW. I would definitely pick up Grid (Dudepal uses these I think), Xperl Raidframes (I use these) and Clique, Quartzcastbar. I'm not sure about priest specific addons though. But yes, the overall need is to just experience the chaos that is the 25-man raid and not let it affect you

. I know my healing stats will be down this fight, I was sitting there with Fargol for most of the fight out of range of the majority of the raid, but as long as we get our assigned jobs done we can sit back and collect the phat loots! On a note about healing, I didn't watch you during the raid, but if you have mana issues and just to be more efficient, the big thing I would try to pick up is heal canceling. If you see someone get healed up etc., make sure you cancel your heals so you don't waste mana and overheal. I would also focus on being pro-active rather than reactive, if you know someone will be taking damage, heal as if you are preventing the damage not repairing it. I try to time my heals to land right as the damage occurs (not that I've necessarily been that successful at it yet

) not as a response to the damage happening.

Resto druid inner demon was no problem. Just typical rotation I use for dps, moonfire/insect swarm, barkskin and spam wraths and more moonfire's as needed. Popping an essence of the martyr trinket speeds it up. I took a screenshot and just posted in guild galleries. You can see Hardwigg's dog scratching himself well and you can see Rummy peaking over Leo's corpse. Good job staying at your wheelbarrow Rummy! Other than that the screenshot is pretty poor, but I was alt tabbed after the fight taking a look at my T5 gloves, and trying to figure out what we were doing on dkp. Here's the cap:

That screenshot is funny. You can clearly see Raikiri but you can't see me. Inner Demon: Hunters don't have as easy of a time w/ these as the other dps classes do, we can't just stand there and melee and be able to kill it in time. I got it a lot early on and was able to wing clip + kite it or trap and kill, i think they are immune to FD cause it never worked. The time i failed to kill my demon i was completely OOM, my pet was dead and my mana pot was on cooldown. After that i was a lot more carefull w/ my pet and cautions when demon phase hit. For hunters it is critical to keep your pet alive for the demon phase, espeically if you're BM, i started dismissing my pet mid fight when the whirlwind started so he wouldn't die, that worked out pretty well.

Three cheers for ruummy and his wheel barrel duty!
Daghi - you could also consider having you pet take the ruummy route, and go park him on a far side wall, and hit the stay button. Seems like running to the side would take just as much time as dismissing him, and save you the loyalty cost. Just a thought - I only play a crusty 50's hunter

Fear is actually how i killed mine. I would fear it, and have it smited to death before it could get back to me. I do have holy reach though which increases the range of smite, so that is probably why the difference. (I got it cause of increased radius of prayer of healing and circle of healing.)

Heal cancelling - I have been looking around for a new mouse that has a thumb button for cancelling my cast, this way I wouldnt have to move my fingers off the shift and ctrl and alt keys I use for clique and be able to cancel casts more effectively.
