Hey everybody, just wanted everyone to know that I'll be on vacation next week, so I won't be available to raid.  Good Luck, I hope you guys can get a new boss down!  I'll be back on the 31st or so.  Don't get too far ahead of me on SSO rep if the patch drops on tuesday :)  I don't want everyone to be tired of running magister's terrace by the time I'm back.

if patch 2.4 drops, it's a moot point about the healer situation, since we'll likely cancel the raid to avoid the inevitable server hiccups that will occur and to allow everyone to go explore the new content

And no, if the patch drops, we won't do any 25man stuff - the problem we're trying to avoid is instance instability, it's not like doing a different instance will change that. If you want sweet loots, go run Magister's Terrrace. :-D

I agree -- the new instance, new loot, excitement
    ... vs ....
the prospect of getting halfway into an instance while struggling against server hiccups when we're already down 2 healers to kill the bosses we've already proven we can one-shot

A bigger issue we have seen with major patches is mods.  This is how it usually goes down.  Half the raid logs on an hour early, realizes that no mods work, go install updates, ready by raid start time, but not stocked with consumables etc.  Other half of the raid logs on just before raid start, says in guild chat "Why don't my mods work, rar rar rar, oh there was a patch?" then log off, fix mods, log on an hour late, still unprepared.  Then the whole raid enters an instance and realizes mods that don't function until you are either in a raid or in combat do not work anymore (omen, grid, etc) and then log off and take another hour to fix.  No thanks :)  Not to be a pessimist.

but that is better than 25 people getting their toon stuck in a raid instance because our server crashed.
