What is your raid experience?
I've been raiding since Vanilla WoW. MC, BWL, ZG, AQ20, AQ40, KZ, SSC, TK, ZA, BT, Naxx 10 and 25, Sarth + 1, Vault
Why did you leave your previous (current) guild?
We actually left our previous server. Our characters were on Norgannon Horde side. Norgannon has a population of like 6k horde, thats including all the various alts running. While this tends for you to get to know alot of people real well, it also tends for guilds to collaspe when a few good people either hop ship to a more progression based guild or stop playing due to boredom. I've been on Norgannon since before BC and watched it get harder and harder to even find a good guild anymore. All the friends I started with have all quit WoW. My wife and I have been playing for a while. We enjoy this activity together. I have wanted to roll alliance again for a while. I convinced her to reroll here on a pvp server and eventually we'll be bringing our 70s from an RP server here as well. Hers is a shaman and will be resto and her main. She loves healing. Mines a pally and also will be healing but I'm more inclined to tanking so Ankletank will be my main and will be tank specced.
Does anyone in our guild know you? Not yet How many alts do you have and is this your main?
Ankletank will be my main. Nitrogene is a character my wife is leveling to have a dps at a later time. She will be switching to a resto shaman when we get the money to transfer her character. I have a druid alt here i will be leveling as well, Frenzyclaw. There may be a few other alts but they will probably be used to play with my daughters.
What are your play times? I play off and on all day. Stay at home dad. We're also Eastern time based. My wife works 3-11 our time. One of the reasons she choose this server. When she gets off its 8pm your time. We discussed the raid times and she knows that when we get to that point that she will be late about 8:15 your time but she's willing to sit and wait to see if she can fill a spot. What of our raid times would you be able to make? All of them once I reach 80. Would you be willing to sit out if it is necessary without a fuss? Yes. A guild doesn't progress due to individuals, it progresses due to a group of like minded people focusing on a common goal. Have you spent proper time and money into your gear / enchants / gems? I will be at 80. I will provide links to my horde main so you can see that. What potion/elixir consumables will you bring to a raid (be specific)? As a tank I normally use Flask of Stoneblood. My wife uses the Frostwyrm one for healing. Health and mana pots are a must as well. What food food consumables will you bring to the raid (be specific)? As a tank, the fish recipe that grants 40 strength and 40 stam is very helpful and also helps with attack power and parry rating for me. As a healer my wife usually alternates between foods that either grant mp5 or spellpower sometimes depending on the fight needed. What is the (spell) hit your class needs to be viable in a raid? At 80, 294 Hit rating caps 2h/yellow attacks. Hit rating is not a big deal for healers. What is your favorite boss fight and why? What boss haven't you fought that you're looking forward to the most? I actually enjoy the Heigan fight. I like the way its setup and its very simple to learn once you know where to stand. As a paladin, I've 2 manned the 10 man version and ended up healing and decursing while in tank gear. I'm looking forward to fighting Malygos past phase 1. What boss mod do you use? We both have DBM and Bigwigs. What website do you use to read up on encounters proactively? Many. World of Raids, Tankspot, WoWwiki, Wowhead, etc... I usually do alot of research on fights. I used to lead raids on our other server. Anything you want to tell us? I've done everything from class leader to GM at somepoint in this game. I've been playing long enough to remember when BGs didn't exist in the game and world pvp at crossroads or tarren mill were your only options. We're looking for a home to start over and you guys seem like it. I've been wanting to go back to a pvp server for a while and Destro was a well populated one. I've also always wanted to tank as a gnome. (Don't ask on that one) My wife finally agreed to both pvp and alliance so here we are. After much research, you guys seem like a good fit for what we're looking for. We want to find freinds and fun again, not just people we show up on tuesday to raid with. We may be a little slow getting to 80 as we level together and thats based on my wifes schedule for work and sleep. We also have 3 kids that take up real life time. I was very impressed with this application. Very detailed. Doesn't leave you with any unanswered questions. Well done. Also, it seems you both are very open minded. It doesn't seem like you are planning on coming in here to just raid and get lootz, but to play, have fun, and meet people and eventually raid. We are a great guild and all get along for the most part. I think you would fit in well imo. I don't know how much my opinions matters with apps though seems I'm not a guild leader. But I say thumbs up

I noticed you said your kids play too. I just want to warn you, we're all adults here (except for very few) and we are a mature guild so we don't always filter what we say for young eyes and ears \`o`/

The two that will be playing are 12 and 14 - I'm pretty sure they can teach us some things that they get from school at times.

I like that you use capitol letters where they belong. When I first saw what level the toons where, I was skeptical, but after I read your app I got the whole " don't judge a book by its cover thing going on" Thanks for writing a good app. Note: I like how our applicants are either well spoken and intellegent, or completely terrible.

Update: My wife will probably be able to transfer servers as early as friday or saturday with her shaman.
