I've seen these sites before -- I'm really interested in seeing our combat log filtered!Do you run their mod to keep the combat log?  I've looked around for something that would log to a file so I could pine through it myself ...Post a link when it's up please!

No mod is required, you just type /combatlog in game and it turns on/off saving your combat log out to text.

LOLNo wonder there is no mod.  It seemed like the most obvious thing in the world to have.

I assume this is something that will sync multiple combat logs, kind of like synced damage meters or KTM?I've been analyzing my Prince log.  Looking at the cooldown for Shield Block as being 5 seconds -- hit perfectly every time for a 7 minute fight, it should be 84 --- and my number is 48.  I know I didn't hit it perfectly every time -- given server lag, rage requirements, global cooldowns -- lets give that number an extra second or so, say 6.  Then I should have hit it (7 * 60) / 6 times ... 70ish ... my actual number is (7 * 60) / n = 48 = 8.75 secondsI guess I could shave some time off because of the pull + time in knockback.  This is a flipping great tool to analyze performance!

yeah, i've noticed some disparity with the number of hits.  In one fight miramel somehow managed to do 40000 damage with 6 backstabs.  I'm not sure why it would have the hit numbers wrong, but the damages all seem correct.  The log has a 200yd range around me so i really shouldn't be missing out on too much info, especially since i'll almost always be within 40 yards of everyone to heal.

For DPS classes, One of the most useful and easy to access data points in here is people's miss rate.  For example, on the Maiden kill:Rogues:Miramel missed 8% of melee attacks, Krikor missed 19%Mages:Blastine missed 15.7% of his fireballs, Phrikk missed 15.3%, while Baraccus only missed 5.2%This really emphasizes how important Hit ratings are for raiding DPS.  The old adage "You can't crit if you don't hit" really holds true for mages and rogues. At least for rogues, hit rating is under valued in blizzards itemization budget... Meaning you can get a lot of hit on an item with a relatively small amount of stats you have to trade off (in terms of effective DPS).  Now I know some of you just think I am a hit rating junkie, but these numbers prove my point.  I tossed on my shiny new Prince dagger for the maiden fight, which only has 15 more hit rating than my old one (and 4 more damage per second) and I topped the damage chart, even without Mongoose on it.

You should see my frost raiding set.  Those numbers *should* go down to 1%.  I recently got hit-capped :)But you are 100% correct.  Until you are hit-capped, as a mage your best bet is to increase spell hit, as it gives the most effective increase in overall DPS.
