Group 2 Restructure

After much thought, and picking the brains of some of the others in the guild, I have decided to structure group 2 a little different. It will work as follows...The raid will be made up of two parts: The Core GroupThis group will consist of people that can make it every week. They have experience with the other core members of the group in a raid environment, and have a thorough knowledge of their class mechanics and role in the raid environment.The Sub ListThis part of the group will be made up of people that either can't make it every week, or don't have the desire to raid as much. This group will also consist of people that are new to either level 70 and are still working on their gear. These people may still be new to Kara, and their role in the raid enviroment. The people that sub in on the first night of the raid, will have have priority to raid the second night. If they can't make it, then someone else can fill in. I need a list of people that can commit to being part of the Core Group. Remember that by signing up, I expect that you show up prepared every week. That means having ample consumables, regeants, proper gear, and knowledge of the scheduled encounters for the night. I expect you to set an example for others that play your class, and others that may not be in the core group. I and the officers in the guild reserve the right to take people off of the core list if we feel that you are not meeting any of the above criteria. ( I doubt this will happen) We need a core group that at least consists of the following:MTOTHealerHealerDps Dps I also need a list of people that would be interested in being on the Sub List. Depending on the number of people that want in, we may work out a rotation, so everyone can get an equal swing. If you are on this list, and decide that you either would like to be part of the core group, or would just like to come on a more regular basis, please let me know via in game mail, or by posting on the forums. I will do my best to let the people on this list know at least one day in advance if they will be coming. Again, I will try and be as fair as possible when it comes to bringing people from the sub list.If you are currently bringing a toon to Kara that is not your main, and would like a different toon of yours to be on the core group, don't fret. If this leaves a spot open that can not be filled by someones main ( Main toon, as in the toon you enjoy playing the most, and would like to bring to 25 man content), we can recruit to fill this opening. Raid TimesIf it would be possible, I would like to start a bit earlier. Something like first pull at 7pm server. However I would need everyone in the core group to be able to commit to that time both days, every week. Also, we don't have to keep the same raid days, we can change the days based on the core group. But, I think there will be another thread for raid times. As of now they will stay the same until further notice.There will be, however a fixed ending time. Raids will not go later than 11pm server. If people want to stay later that is fine, but many of us have early mornings, or do not live on the west coast. I think 11pm is a decent time to end, although it is not set in stone... yet This will not take effect until the next Thursday raid Aka the raid on November 1. That is assuming we have recruited new people to fill spots (I have talked to some of the group 2 regulars about recruiting to replace them, so they don't have to bring alts to kara all the time.) Hopefully I didn't scare anyone with this, I did not do this to push anyone out of the raid. It is just to get us organized and progressing faster so that we can get to 25 man content in a timely manner, with good gear and group dynamics. So if you could post below if are interested in raiding, and then designate whether you would like to be in the core group, or the sub group, that would help a lot. Benvolo

I'm more than willing to become a part of the core group if needed. I realize I was only filling in Mahnalor's spot temporarily, but I'm more than willing to take an active role in helping everyone level up their gear.The 7pm time will work for me, but that is usually the time that I get on Thursday nights (No problem Sunday), so it'll require a bit more prep the night before on my part. Nothing un-manageable though.There was also some discussion in other threads about adding another raid night. I believe until we start taking down Prince, spending a little more time in Kara would be ideal, especially when we have a group that should be able to down Prince. I'd be willing to commit an extra night to try and progress further if there are other group members that want to do the same.

With group 1 on (hopefully permanent) haitus while we figure out a consistant raid schedule for Gruul's -- I'm available as sub on Chuunks/Drumble (soon Garaz).

I'd like to put my druid on the sub list for group 2 as a healer. Sunday night usually works for me, Thursday I often can't play.

You can put Hardwigg / Huckenpahler on the sub list as well for dps. My work situation is week-to-week now and I can't commit to anything 'til that settles down.

i wouldn't mind being put in the sub group its just hard for me to raid cuz of real life eventsthe best that i could do is maybe sub for someone that would have to leave early. i withi could raid and i want to more than anything but real life comes first as you all already shouldknow.

Eh.... ? What's all this hub bub about? er..? I think you know where I stand, I like my spot, have shown up consistently, always bringing my own elixirs, foods, supplies and etc.. . So uh.. core group please. Also a change from Thursday would be cool as I'm usually at work and it would be less chancy for me in getting a flight and such if I were playing from home then I only have to worry about slapping the child a few hundred times. 7:00 pm server start time sounds better too, more time to wipe... er I mean uh... progress thru this Kara business.

While I am pretty much always up for kara, I would not be able to make an earlier start on thursdays, as it is i might be hard pressed to get logged in much before 8 server time in the up coming weeks

Thanks for the responses so far. I think for now we will stay with the original start time of 8pm server. And so far we only have 3 people for the core group (myself included)

I would be very interested in being considered for the core group. I can commit to Thursdays/Sundays from either 7 or 8 until whenever. If there's no room, I will gladly be a substitute, but would definitely prefer to be a regular in the core group. If there is interest in doing more nights, I'm in for that too. Let me know! If I have a regularly scheduled event I can more easily handle wife aggro. ^_^

I'd be willing to commit to the core group, however 7pm raid time is not possible for me most nights. I don't usually leave work until a bit after 7pm server time. So if we're keeping it 8pm as you said in your above post, I'm in.
