Forged Alliance in BGs

I'm actually pretty surprised that I would have to mention this. When you travel in the world and BGs, remember that you wear the Forged Alliance tag over your head. You're a representative to the guild, and swearing and berating your teammates is lame, counterproductive and stupid. It puts our entire guild in a bad light. If you feel a need to do this -- by all means /gquit and we'll re-invite you after the BG. Promise. If I hear any of this BS spewing, I'm OBLIGATED as an officer to first chat with you -- if I have to take my time to talk with you twice, I will make a permanent adjustment. Keep the fight against the horde ...

I have been doing my best when i lead premades to be as kind and as courteous as possible.I try and include guildmates first,and put my best foot forward.Thanks for reminding everyone that our guildtag is more important than honor or loot,as its easy to lose sight of that when you are working towards a goal that can be frustratingly hard to reach

Was there anyone with the vent name of "jackmama" in any of the premades? Whoever he was, he logged into vent and was harassing us repeatedly during our Kara run last night. Fargol banned his ip.

I agree with ya Chuunks-- we all need to remember that we are each representatives for our guild. There are certain *Guilds* that are on peoples KoS lists are guild that people with not run with and the reason for those lists is reputations that have been created by our experiences with some of their Guild Mates. I hope that FA is not on anyones list because of something that 1 or more individuals have done.

Umm okay I'll try to keep that in mind.... gonna be hard though working with idiots and 12 yr olds who consistently lose BGs becuz they are retards, can't follow simple instructions or just plain suck and ruin MY gaming experience. If the above offer holds I just may do that, temporarily /gquit prior to doing BGs. When I played FPS ( for over 5 years and ran one of the top ten CTF and TAM UTGOTY/UT2k4 teams on TWL), the gamers there are a whole world of difference from WoW and making that transition is/has been difficult. In FPS it is the norm to name call, belittle and otherwise be an total ass while kiking your opponents ass or calling out a team mate for stupid behavior. In short I have little tolerance for whiners and QQ'ers who can't handle what they rightly deserve. On the subject of KoS, Destromath is a PvP server and while I am not usually a "ganker "I do find myself doing as such. That in and of itself will lead to one being on a KoS list wether guild wide or individually. Are you asking that we refrain from such behavior?

I am not asking that you refrain from ganking at all. I am simply stating that behavior from some guild members has caused (at least me) hard feeling towards the whole guild in some cases...Just trying to pull out an example of how we are all representatives. I am not pointing fingers or calling names cuz i dont know who the post was started about, but it is just a good reminder to us all!

man i hate it when i miss the good threads. i'm gonna go out on a limb and say i may have been the one whom the original thread was posted about. as most of you know (the people that matter) i loathe the vast majority of people and i have 0 quams about letting them know just how much the suck and/or asking them why they continue to play with their head in the 4th point of contact. As Scott said we've been doing some FA premades and he has in fact been very tactful in all of them, that's where i come in as his 2nd in command kicking the retarded and tugging the reins of gen pop to make sure they go as smooth as possible. that being said i'll do my best to be on my bestest behavior... "esp when i see Mason in Gchat"

I say gank away -- I dont care what you do to the horde. Shout in their faces, spit, sit and fart on their heads, camp, cause unending frustration. My beef is in putting us in a bad light for our fellow alliance. These are people we may be recruiting, or alts of people, or friends of people in our guild, or little brothers/sisters or guildees, etc ... If you feel a need to bitch people out in general or BG chat, just take a deep breath -- say it in guild chat or something. If you're trying to be playfully scathing, make sure it's directed at someone with thick enough skin and aware enough to recognize the witty reparte. Again, think of yourself as representatives to our guild ... I'd rather be KoS to horde, than blacklisted on alliance.

/agree with this thread. I for one am a gank-a-holic and will kill most horde on site regardless of level/company. Anyway I've played A LOT of bgs in my time (55k+ lifetime kills) and I routinely get angry at my teammates. I used to bitch and complain in general/raid/bg chat but then something happened...I stopped caring. It was probably around the time I was grinding rank 11 that I stopped yelling at people and realized that I would eventually get my honor/badges and should just play the game. Now I usually make fun of the people who nerd rage in bg chat. It's a lot more entertaining for me to treat the video game like a video game (unless i'm 2v2ing /nerdrage) I still get frustrated but i'll either laugh about it or /w someone if it's really getting to me. Ranting in bg chat isn't going to do anything, the bad players are going to be bad no matter how angry you are.

We had one named "Convict" pop in last night and start screaming around making stupid sounds while we were in SV.

Should we start rotating the vent password? I know is a pain in the ass, but these situations seem to be arising.
