More like "You face not .lua/XML errors alone....."
After a little playing, Xperl has no update for this patch yet and just flat out doesn't work, default raid UI FTL.
Omen3 looks neat and was designed for this patch. Raitingbuster has an update, and includes all the spellpower junk in it. Atlasloot 5 works. But I still have many more mods to install...
Because of the size of this patch, I would highly recommend starting fresh, doing one mod at a time, finding it's source web page, grabbing the latest version, installing, and testing it to ensure that it works with what you have. This makes it the easiest to back out a change if it explodes.
I have not played with the curse updater yet, and would be interested to hear from any of you on how it performs.

Good Call... I have problems with my update, now I have to uninstall the whole WoW and reinstall again, probably you won't see hellie for the next 24 hours, unless she's on her hub's computer. If you guys find out which addons work well, let me know.

with the demise / destruction of the ace updater, i decided to give the curse downloader a whirl. it works pretty well, a bit messy, but certainly easier than browsing / searching around for however many addons need to be updatedAkumabarai wrote

I tried the curse updater yesterday and was really disappointed. First off, the list of addons it found on my machine is horribly incomplete. I don't know how it scans for what addons you have, but it found about half of them, and missed the big ones like xperl and clique. Second, it keeps popping up boxes asking what addon is in a certain directory... As in, it found multiple matches and wants me to make the decision. Ok, so I click the right one, and push the button to use that one, and then 20 minutes later the same pop up comes up asking about the same mod. This is for like 10 mods. I tried pushing the button that says "Ignore Directory" and that has no effect either. Super annoying because it runs as a tray app and pops up all the time no matter what you are doing. The interface itself seems a little thrown together as well, there is not status bar for how far through the list of mods it is when updating... So, you just sort of guess. Many of the addons were failing to download, but then again, many of them failed to download manually from curse, so I can't fault the updater itself for this. Here is a simple list of 3.0 addons that wowinterface.com has put up: http://s.wowinterface.com/the_list.html

Agreed. I found the WoWace updater much easier to use and it worked a lot better. Yes, it only worked for addons on the WoW Ace SVN, but it did an excellent job of that. It's also constantly detecting updates for addons that I already have.Hanh wroteI tried the curse updater yesterday and was really disappointed. I'm also really annoyed that when you install it, it downloads and installs (without asking you) an addon called Curse Profiler, which I guess is to upload WoWhead like data or information about your toons. You can delete the addon, but that it does it without your consent is very improper.

i probably should have mentioned that i started with a clean install, so i didn't have any problems with it not recognizing what i already had. i didn run into some random problems last night... definitely miss the ace updater.
