Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
It's that time again folks....On to another week of Kara! Let's see if we can one-up ourselves from last week. Please take a look at the suggestions for the previous week and see where we need to improve on things. Though I try my best to provide direction for the raid, I am by no means an expert and appreciate when folks have done some reading on their own, have some input and make themselves, and therefore the entire raid better off http://www.wowwiki.comandhttp://www.bosskillers.com/are two great resources...On the Adgenda:Thursday - Attumen, Moroes, Opera, MaidenSunday - Curator, Chess, Ilhoof, Shade of AranHere is the list of folks that have I have down for this week: (Some were gone last week and wil be back this week)ThursdayMahnalor - WarriorThandrenn - WarriorBlave - DruidAnother- MageBenvolo- MageFionaa- Priest Xandor - PriestJazzmynn - PaladinDrp - RogueKrikor - RogueAdditional Help:SundayMahnalor - WarriorThandrenn - WarriorBlave - DruidAnother- MageBenvolo - MageFionaa - PriestXandor - PriestJazzmynn - PaladinDrp - RogueKrikor - RogueAdditional Help:Please correct me if I have made a mistake above....or if anyone else is available should a spot be available due to group makeup, etc.-Mahnalor
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Fromt he looks of it I dont think DPS is gonna be a problem this week =)
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
I can be available for both nights, if needed, on my Hunter. The T4 token drop from Curator would be nice as well as the Attunemen drops
. In any case seeing as I have no RL I'll be on during raid time so if a spot comes up I can fill in where needed.

Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Unfortunately since you helped us out last night with the Shade of Aran, Nagashi is tied to a different Raid ID for the week (type /raidinfo in game to see). The double-whammy is that depending on how many we get together for tonight - we *might* not get a second raid night for the group.
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
There was some chatter through the grapevine about Thandrenn running with group 1 to help gear up for the 25 man ... I take it this has been put on hold for a week?
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
First I heard about it ... and I didn't notice last night, though we were dealing with a "too many" situation to begin with I might have glossed past it.IMHO, *anyone* is welcome to come raid with the Tues/Weds group - lots of gear gets sharded. However, and this is my own opinion as I dont decide group makeup -- there is only need for one protection warrior in a Karazhan raid. The substitution spot for a warrior is OT *and* DPS and up to negotiation with Amulec .. anything more than those 15 points in Protection would be worthless for OT and Amulec has shown that you dont even need that.Being OT is a huge pain in the butt as far as gear is concerned, you really need to maintain two complete sets. One set MUST have 490 defense ...
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Hi Folks,We managed to take down Attumen, Moroes and Romulo and Julianne. We got started a little late so we werent able to tackle Maiden. We had fun and learned from our experiences which is our usual goal from week to week Here was the roster:Mahnalor - warriorThandrenn - warriorBlave - druidFionaa - PriestJazzmynn - PaladinBenvolo - MageAnother - MageDrp - RogueKrikor - RogueOnestar - WarlockAttumen - A few minor mistakes caused us to have to clear trash again after falling to Attumen. Attributed more to us just being too laid back and confident... lol. Simple mistakes that gave us a litttle more rep
We did have one weird thing happen where an Engineering Schematic appeared to the maater looter (Mahnalor) and disappeared after I moved an eyelash length away from the loot... weird.. anyway, we petitioned several GM's and we finally got the plans Loot:Vambraces of Courage - ThandrennHandwraps of Flowing Thought - BenvoloSchematic: Stabalized Eternium Scope - BlaveMoroes - This was interesting. We had only one shackle so we decided to do things a little differently. Our lineup was Shadow Priest, Ret Pally, Holy Pally, Prot Warrior. Benvolo was assigned to kite the Prot Warrior, Blave tanked the Ret Pally, the Holy Pally was shackled and FF was on the Shadow Priest. Once the Shadow Priest went down, Ret Pally was next... then the Prot warrior was shackled and FF was on the Holy Paly. The Prot warrior was left shackled until Moroes was downed. Thandrenn and Mahnalor were on Moroes the entire time. Though we had a Pally who could fear, our encounter last week saw Moroes reset due to the mob heading into the kitchen... In any event, we one-shot Moroes and only had one death. Awesome job folks!Loot:Brooch of Unquenchable Fury - OnestarBelt of Gale - Belt of Gale Force - JazzmynnRomulo and Julianne - We wiped the first time on this event due to an unluck death of one of our rogues and repetitive seduce on the other. Interrupting Julianne became quite the challenge after this during phase 3. Oh well.. we took them down the second time
Loot:Masquerade Gown - FionaaBeastmaw Pauldrons - ShardHere are the stats for Thursday:http://www.lossendil.com/wws/?report=ajnkrnlt6zj1kPlan of attack for Sunday will be:Maiden, Curator, Chess and , if time permits, Ilhoof, Shade -Mahnalor

Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
do we have the line up for Sunday so people can start prep? Paul
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Hi Paul,Currently we will be going with the same lineup that we went with on Thursday. See you Sunday!-Mahnalor
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Hi Folks,I believe we have reached a real turning point for Thursday's raid group. We are "gelling" more and more each week and are able to really focus on our roles and take these bosses down a bit each easier each attempt. Sunday saw a one-shot of Maiden and Curator. Fantastic job folks! We also took care of the chess event and only one attempt at Shade (we got him down dow to 32% and had 3 of the elementals down! )Here are the folks whom attended:Mahnalor - WarriorThandrenn - WarriorBlave - DruidDrp - RogueBenvolo - MageAnother - MageOnestar - WarlockFionaa - PriestXandor - PriestJazzmynn - PaladinMaiden - Textbook. Nothing more. Fantastic! Could not have executed better.Loot:Gloves of Centering - ShardBracers of Maliciousness - ShardCurator - Well executed. We had Thandrenn soaking up the hateful bolts and Blave on DPS duty. (Wich is a swap from previous attempts) Thanks to Thandrenn for volunteering to respec for the raid's benefit!Loot:Dragon-Quake Shoulderguards - JazzmynGloves of the Fallen Defender - FionaaChess Event - Pretty easy at this stage... kill healers, kill king... nuff' said.Loot:Battlescar Boots - ThandrennHeaddress of the High Potentate - XandorShade of Aran - Only one attempt as it was near midnight with work looming early the next morning... We managed to get him down to 32% and defeat 3 of the elementals. I believe a Blizzard nocked out a couple of us near the end there and downhill we went. We had a solid attempt though and with more practice and a little luck he should go down next time
We will attempt to do Shade and Ilhoof on Monday night (tonight 9/10) if we can get our group together. 8pm server time.Keep in mind several things.... PLEASE read up on our encounters ahead of time. This gives us ALL an idea of what we are in for. Great work again folks!-MahnalorPS Stats are here...

Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
GRATS!!! If you need a fill in, I will be available tonight to help out (and I don't need ANY loots from these bosses so its all yours). I am not saved for the week.... Shade is a great fight for melee, and illhoof is easy mode if macros are taken care of.
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
we did pretty good, it hink what messed us up the most on shade was him using the fire ability (cant remember the name) right when he summoned the water guys.... damn cheater
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Well, that certainly was... different. It's probably going to take me some time to settle into this new spec and having to change armor sets/modes for different situations. But it seems to me like it's better. My DPS armor and weapons aren't as good as my tanking gear though. I'm gonna look at some enchants and re-gemming a few things to make things better.
Shade sucks. We'll get him though.

Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Nooooo! Shade is sooo fun!http://shadeofaranchant.ytmnd.com/As I mentioned before, Karazhan is a raid training instance - and to sum up this fight in a phrase this is the "test of your raid to think on it's feet". He does only 3 things -- very easy to respond to once you're used to them. For me, the trick is that when he summons those elementals -- he's still doing the same 3 things, and you have to keep reacting accordingly. It's important to DPS those elementals down, but not at the expense of A. moving in a flame-wreath, B. standing in a blizzard (just select the next target, dont eat extra 1-2k tics!), C. Getting TFO of his AOE blast (probably the easiest to react to).Additionally, timing is important -- you dont want the elementals up when he does his mass-poly, since they'll break people from the poly/heal. For the same reason, you dont want to be anywhere near the edges when he does his Poly if there's a blizzard up.thandrenn wroteShade sucks. We'll get him though.
Thursday 9/6 Raid Report
Lol.. yeah Shade was kinda pissed off at us... However, this was exactly the same problem the Tuesdqay group had with Shade in the begining. We will get there. As we become more and more familiar with the fight it will become easier for us. I will have the stats posted tonight for our attempts along with some learning experiences to take with us. Please be sure to "sign-up" for Thursday/Sunday as there are several changes this week. -Mahnalor
