Which of the following best describes your raiding goals? The rest of your application will be judged based on the answer to this question.
1. Raid whenever you have time in whatever group is most convenient
2. Raid consistently in a normal mode group and maybe some heroics
3. Dedicated to progressing through heroics at whatever rate the group is capable of
4. Hardcore heroic progression
5. None of the above, please explain:
What is your raid experience? Please list as much as you think is relevant.
I'm from the Burning Crusade era and I did some raids back then (mostly Kharazan) as a Retribution Paladin. Now, I'm back in MoP and I've been raiding with the Raid Finder weekly, trying to gear up for the 2nd tier of Raids (HoF), as a Restoration Druid.
Why did you leave your previous (current) guild?
Basically, there was inactivity. Noone does anything as a group, nobody talks, everyone's too independent. Also, when they DO something, it's usually just a RBG. PVP is not my goal, although I do that too.
Does anyone in our guild know you?
No, as far as I know.
How did you find out about our guild?
Stormwind's General channel.
How many alts do you have and is this your main?
I have only 1 alt, a 73 Restoration / Enhancement Shaman (named Zaldarion). Vassalio (my Druid) is my main.
What are your play times?
Usually:
Tue @ 7:30pm
Wed @ 9pm
Thu @ 9pm
Fri @ 6pm
Almost every weekend, all weekend.
Which of our raid times would you be able to make?
The 7pm Fri-Sat group would be the one.
Would you be willing to sit out if it is necessary without a fuss?
Of course. I totally understand if this needs to be done. A little heads up would be nice though =P
Have you spent proper time and money into your gear / enchants / gems?
This is my second month playing MoP (since, as I said, I'm from the BC era). I have almost full PVP gear as Feral, and I've been grinding heroics for my Resto Gear. I basically work for money to get my Gems, and I'm looking for a friendly enchanter to do my work.
Raiders are expected to use consumables during raids. In the following categories what consumable would you use and why?
- Flask/Elixirs: Flask of the Falling Leaves - I'm those who think that as a Resto Druid, specially in long boss fights, regeneration is a must. With mixology I gel almost 1.5k of additional spirit, so I can last fights up to 15 mins (in MGV) without drinking any potions, just Innervate.
- Well Fed: Steamed Crab Surprise (which I'm looking to learn with cooking).
- Potion: Potion of Focus
If you are DPS, what is the (spell) hit your character needs to be viable in a raid?
What is the basic gemming strategy for your character?
Spirit > Mastery / Haste > Critical
What is the basic reforging strategy for your character?
Remove Hit and Mastery and add either spirit or haste.
What is your favorite boss fight and why? What boss haven't you fought that you're looking forward to the most?
I have a love-hate relationship with the Trial of the Emperor (last boss of Mogushan) - I think it's a test of team coordination, communication, and performance for people. As a whole, I think it strains people to the max.
I'm also tired of getting wiped there in the Raid Finder.
I want to clear the previous raids (Classic, BC, WotLK). Specially Archimonde and Illidan, since I haven't seen those.
What boss mod(s) do you use?
Deadly Boss Mods only. Don't know any other one.
What website(s) do you use to read up on encounters proactively?
I'm looking for sites like that. I'm not too experienced in that area.
Please link your armory profile:
http://goo.gl/4SD9y (I'll be in game all day, when I log out, I'll log out as Resto - you can contact me in-game so I can log out)
Anything else we missed or you want to tell us?
I'm fond of the whole Warcraft franchise. I was an avid WC3 player and I love the lore. I played BC and it was amazing but I couldn't continue, and this will not be the case again. I'm looking forward to learn a lot of raiding and team coordination, since that's the most rewarding part of any MMORPG. I hope I can contribute in some way and make some friends in there.
I'm also Venezuelan (South America) so excuse my English!.

Re: Application: Raider
greetings, thanks for the app! your gear doesn't meet our raider requirements, but we can invite you as a casual raider until you get everything in order. we do not yet have enough people for the friday / saturday group, so you should have some time to work on your gear. we have several enchanters who should be able to help you out with whatever you need. otherwise everything looks pretty good, track someone down online and we can get you an invite.
