Dudepal / Quani / Killean / Chuunks / Amulec / Fargol / Kaittlynn / Miramel / Mahonri / WickedwandaRipping it UP!  Wiped once on Romulo/Julianne, but probably the fastest/furthest we've gone in one night. My learning experience:Moroes -- Breaking a shackle on a paladin @ Moroes yeilds you an instant Hammer of Justice - I should wait until people are ready. :)    -- we got the blind/gouge combo last night.  Why oh why did I taunt the WoW gods by saying it rarely happens? Maiden -- It can't be said loud or often enough -- GET IN LINE OF SIGHT AND CLOSE ENOUGH TO A HEALER.  Holy Fire will kill you.  Everyone should be standing on the inside of the columns around her -- if kept in the center, you shouldn't be in her consecration at all.  Romulo -- back him up straight to the wall, walk a half step and turn around and his back should be into the wall.  I tried one time to walk around him in a circle and he adjusted himself.Attumen / Midnight -- decursing is so key to this fight.  Especially because I'm already getting a punch in my threat every few seconds by a 3-sec stun.  Watch those meters!  Might be good to ktm focus frame on Midnight -- and since it's an aggro dump, reset to Attumen mounted.Curator -- holy cow you rogues went nuts on him during his first evocation.  I need to save my bloodrage for his evocation since I'm not being hit (for rage) and can use all that additional damage for threat.  Glad you guys can vanish or he would have eaten your faces. :DNightbane -- O . M . F . G . this fight is like being smooshed repeatedly for 15 minutes.  Shouldn't be that long - but we lost two really early.  Since it's an aggro reset every time he lands -- everyone should try and hold off for a couple seconds before laying into him.  I'm not "full threat" when I get him since I'm moving him into position, and I could potentially (seems more often than not) whiff my opening shield slam or TC or whatever.  We did ok with a couple skeletons left over while he was landing -- but I definately wasn't "ready" any of the times he landed.  I used every trick in my arsenal this fight -- Moroes's watch, a lifesaver -- since we lost two DPS early, I was able to use it twice every ground phase.  Also, I noticed at least one person still DPSing Nightbane in the air -- *everyone* should be on the skeletons.ADDITIONALLY -- not to crit with a wall of text, but it was mentioned to me and I took the time to inspect people this raid -- EVERYONE SHOULD BE USING CONSUMABLES.  I know we did fine -- but this is the big game, pay the money and put as much effort into it as you can - as much effort as the rest of us are.  I wont call people out by name this week -- next week expect some nagging/hassling.Loot to follow in the next post...

Grats everyone, good to see some useful loots from nightbane!  Good call on getting the rogues in position for the first evocate, we can blow all CD's and melt his face once during the fight, so might as well make it count :)

Grats everyone! Once we have Kara on farm we can think about recruiting some of the powerhouses for group 2 :)

We had kind of a rough go of it last night, our only one shot was Chess: Shade of Aran:  I blew us up in the flame wreath this time while trying to take that one extra step to an elemental before he cast.  Though I had stood still for a good 3 seconds thinking "whew - cut that one close", a couple seconds later I was flying into the air.  On the lighter side, everyone got to hear me sing: http://shadeofaranchant.ytmnd.com/ .. and we're adopting this method of "learning experiences".  If you do something obvious and wrong and it was a learning experience for you, you're obligated to share that with the group in the form of a song.  This was:   " I will not move when Flame Wreath is cast or the raaaaaaid bloooooows uuuuuuup." .. but equally good would have been:   " Fargol don't run to the very next room we didn't cleeeeeeeear thooooooose mooooooooobs."   " Watch for the beams, dont walk across or you'll caaaaaaauusse aaaaaaaaaa wiiiiiiiipe."   " When you're enfeebled, be very careful but run reeeeeeeeall faaaaast. "   " Watch your aggro after Netherspites Banish since he stilllllll seeeeeeeees threeeeeat." Second attempt we got him before the Poly though -- way to pick it up! Paudrons of the Justice Seeker --- Killean Shermanar Great-Ring --- Amulec Netherspite -- it's all about the beam rotations, but there were a couple learning/re-emphasis points:    --- He still has a threat table you need to pay attention to.  Whoever has the red beam will have aggro, but he runs a little loose sometimes during the banish.  And there's still a good 5 seconds when he comes out and the portals haven't shot thier beams yet.  Make sure he doesn't run back to the raid and swat you by controlling your aggro (or preferrably dumping it).     Additionally -- anyone taking the RED beam is in danger of being one-shot, sometimes they get the aggro before the buffage.  Also, make sure if you're swapping for RED, make sure you take it instead of someone running away -- because they dont lose aggro until someone else is in it (and be next to the dragon so he doesn't move). Pantaloons of Repentance -- Dudepal Shining Chain of the Afterworld -- Quani Chess -- .. Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless - Miramel Tryptych Shield of the Ancients - shard Prince -- I HATE LEAVING YOU ALIVE.  One wipe at 2% -- 30seconds away from shield wall.  Our last wipe at 6% -- we made it to 6% even though we had two DPS die in the first minute.  That's a win to me .. but we just didn't win the purples along with it. :)  I dont have any words of wisdom or growth on this one, there is a good amount of luck with this -- and we're getting better and better and pushing the bar towards success even when it dips towards severely bad luck (2 dead in 1 minute). Actually it worked pretty well having TJ call out the infernals when he was lying face up, and I think that should be the general rule -- if you die, you become the "infernal caller" so the raid isn't distracted with the duty.

*ADDITIONAL NOTE:We will gather @ 7pm server tonight to see if we have the numbers to take out Prince / Illhoof.  I dont want to spend a lot of time in there since Group2 is going and could use our alt-support, but Prince is 4 pulls and Illhoof is 1, so we could easily do both if people are on and prepared...

Netherspite thoughts:  perhaps we should have a rogue for the non-warrior red beam person.  I know I died once, but I screwed up the timing with evasion.  If I pop it just before stepping into the beam (or the pocketwatch), it should prevent a one shot and the big HP buff should come through.  All that really matters is the first second or two.  This might be a more reliable approach.  Since one of us is on green beam cooldown anyways after the first cycle, it should work out.  It pains me to say this, but I already have a commitment tonight and will not be able to make it, and sunday night I am out of town.  Feel free to fill anyone in though (hard to do without snaking someone from group Thursday).

Thanks Chuunks!  However, sometime in the near future, I would hope that we can get more than just alt-support as it will take us months to even see some of the later bosses let alone beat them.  As I am sure you agree, alot of us put alot of time and money into our "mains" and our alts just might not cut it when we are at critical bosses. Don't get me wrong.. any help is appreciated and always welcomed!.. However several folks have brought it up int he past that we can eventually split up the groups for the guilds benefit in our progressioin towards Gruuls.  We really are on a one boss per week schedule.. if that.. and progression is very similar as to before, which it was mentioned that we want to try and avoid that...

Thought... we can always do it as a temporary thing where we change group makeups every few weeks (depending on availability of course) to help things along... Just my 2 copper...

Quani / Dudepal / Killean / Chuunks / Amulec / Fargol / Kaittlynn / Mahonri / Sniper / Scyon (Crisis) One shot Prince -- but we definately got lucky on the infernal drops, I only had to move him once during phase 3.  Not sure there's a learning experience there ... T4 Helm -- Dudepal Adornment of Stolen Souls -- ScyonNathrezim Mindblade -- FargolIllhoof took two -- this is the /macro fight.  Three macros kill this guy every time./target terest  -- targets Illhoof inside his mob of adds/target demonic -- targets the Demonic Chains/target Kil'rek -- targets his mob... we weren't paying attention so much to when we had to kill Kil'rek.  It's good to specifically take him down like every other or every third sacrifice so we can get full focused DPS on him while he's weakened.  Additionally -- once we lose DPS on this fight, we're going to need to make a concious decision of whether or not we just allow the person sacrificed to die.  It sounds brutal - but we had Illhoof at 8% and I couldn't switch to the chains to DPS the chains since people were so close to me on threat.  He crawled up to 14% before the person in the chains was freed.  Malefic Girdle -- ScyonXavian Stilletto -- ShardGreat job guys/gals!  I'm sure we can get this down to 2 nights ...
